"BRTCA Rescue/Placement Service exists to place stray or abandoned BRTs in adoptive homes which will provide a high level of care and where the spirit of the BRTCA Code of Ethics is observed. The Rescue / Placement Service may assist BRT owners, who for any reason can no longer provide a home for their BRT."
BRTCA Rescue is in need of help from volunteers to assist in evaluating temperaments, transportation, and fostering our rescue BRTs. If you can help in any way please fill-out, print, and send the Volunteer Form to a local Regional and/or State Coordinator
Please read the Policy Letter and the essay,"Is the Black Russian Terrier the Right Breed for You?" before filling out the Family Profile. To adopt, please fill out, print and mail/fax the Family Profile to your Regional and/or State Coordinator. Someone will contact you and your references will be checked and a home visit done.
BRTs needing to be rescued, contact us by e-mail (please indicate the city and state where the BRT is located in your e-mail) sent to BRTCNJ@yahoo.com or by contacting either the State or Regional Coordinator.
Anyone wishing to volunteer their time, money, and/or kennel space, please contact the National Rescue Director. Anyone wanting to adopt an BRT or who knows of an BRT that needs to be rescued, please call / e-mail the nearest Rescue Coordinator.
